Post Graduate degree course
stated in year 2000& first two
batches consists of total 2x2
students have successfully
passed out from the Institutes.
At present the third batch
(year2002) is appearing in the
final examination. Since
students from three batches
remain in the department at any
given time; their training
programme is made in composite
form, which include supervised
practical involvement of the
various investigations conducted
in the Department. Since
department is equipped with
various modalities i.e.
conventional Radiography, USG,
CT and Mammography, the training
to students is imparted in
rotation. Apart from practical,
organized presentations of the
allotted topics in the
departmental seminars are
conducted so that the requisites
syllabus is covered for the
period. Apart from - seminars,
weekly radiological inter
departmental activities also
take place every weeks in turn
with the department of
Medicines, Pediatrics, Surgery
and Orthopedics, where students
are encouraged to participate in
the discussions. In addition the
department is regularly
participating in the monthly CME
sessions as well as in the
clinical grand rounds, which are
the main features of the
Institutes.

B Sc MIT
-------------------------------------------
First batch consisting of six
students started B Sc MIT
courses in August 2001 and
successfully completed their
degree in year 2004. The second
batch (year 2002) again consists
of six students have obtained
their degree with high
percentage. Out of these six
successful students two have
already taken up admission in
India for higher studies that is
MIC degree courses in Nuclear
Medicine and Radio diagnosis
respectively. The course
continues to be conducted in
collaboration with BP Koirala
Memorial Cancer Hospital (BPKMCH)
Bharatpur.
The students are allowed to work
in various sub departments i.e.
Conventional Radiology,
Mammography, USG and CT for
practical training. Their theory
portion is also well covered up
by the department faculties as
well as teachers from Bharatpur
Cancer Hospital. At present a
well-equipped physics laboratory
is established in the department
to impart the practical training
to all students.

Undergraduate Academic Programme

Undergraduate training to MBBS
and B Sc Nursing students is
strictly followed as per the
laid down Institutional
instructions and circulated
syllabus with fixed timings.
SIS are conducted regularly,
cover up all the basic
radiological aspects which
students come across in their
day to day clinical practice.
Small group discussions are
taken up in the department where
various radiological aspects are
taught to the students. Students
are also exposed to the real
time imaging which are performed
in the department. Students are
also encouraged to take active
part in multi departmental
seminars where a general topic
is discussed with various
departmental involvements |
